If you plan to move home in Beijing, there’re many moving companies you can call if you have lots of heavy furniture and home appliances. They will send a truck with 3~4 movers to help. Or you can call some individuals who own mini vans to help if you only want to move some boxes. Usually those individuals were only in charge of driving, they won’t help moving those boxes.

If you don’t have lots of things I recomend Mr. Jiang’s home moving service. He’s honest, reliable. He offers good service at reasonable price. I think he’s the best among all the movers I met before. I was quite impressed by his working attitude.

Mr. Jiang (Mobile: 1369 334 6702, license plate: MR2932) is about 30 years old, originaly from HeBei Province, now lives near QingHe, outside of the north 5th Ring Rd. He began helping college students moving home in HaiDian District 2 years ago. Students were satisfied with his service, and wanted to help him get more customers. So they established a group on Douban to advertise his service.

I found him on that web. His service and his attitude towards life and work impressed me. Most movers I met before always kept complaining, either about their low income or about the miserable reality that they have to move so many heavy goods every day…

My plan was to move from South 3rd Ring Rd. to East 4th Ring Rd. and go back on the same day. I called a moving company first, they asked for 400 CNY. And Mr. Jiang only asked for 160 CNY. We planed to move around 10 o’clock next day. But at that day the elevator shut down because the fire hydrant terribly leaked. Jiang waited til 15:00 and helped me moving to the destination.

On the way of driving, he handed me a small notebook to read. His daily work were all listed on it. Talking about his work, filled with joy and pride, he said he enjoyed his current job very much. Most of his clients were young people who’re struggling in Beijing. 70% of the customers was from the former customers’ recommendation, 30% was from the internet advertisement. He now has four mini vans, and had his relatives, friends join him for this home moving business. A company wanted to hire him as a full-time driver and give him a stable job. But he did not go. He think what he’s doing now is his real career.

姜师傅（电话:1369 334 6702, 车牌:京MR2932）大约30来岁，河北人，现住在清河。2年前开始帮助海淀高校学生搬家，受到学生们的好评。学生们不断地给姜师傅介绍客户，并在网上宣传。姜师傅本身不会打字，上网只能浏览信息。但现在他在豆瓣上也有了自己的搬家小组，就是学生们和接受过他服务的客户们建立和维护的。我就是从这个网找到他的。果然名不虚传，诚实守信，服务热情，价格实惠。

在北京搬家，如果找正规的公司，一般都是一辆封闭货车，带3，4个搬家工人，价格百元起，服务基本没什么保障，经常发生搬家工人牢骚漫天，甚至坐地涨价的现象。如果找个人的车，一般都不帮助搬，只负责开车，还要抱怨路途远收费少，运送的东西碰坏了他们的车。

比如我这次搬家，从南三环到东四环往返，先联系的搬家公司给我的报价是400元。而姜师傅给我的报价是160元。本来约定的早晨10点搬，但由于当天整栋楼消防栓漏水，电梯关闭，直到下午3点才开放。所以耽误了姜师傅一整天。但他推掉了当天其他的预约，非常有诚信地一直等到下午，并未要求我多付钱。

在搬家途中，他递给我一个小本子看，上面密密麻麻记满了他每日的搬家工作，时间，地点，联系人。谈到他的工作，洋溢着快乐和自豪。他说他特别喜欢现在这个工作，他的客户都是北京奋斗着的年轻人。70％来自老客户的介绍，30％来自网络。他现在已有4辆车，并且召集了他亲人，朋友和他一起做。期间有公司招他当专职司机，给他一份稳定的工作，他都没有去。他觉得他现在所做的就是他的事业。
